My Dad came to see me today, only it wasn’t my Dad.
My Dad died several years ago.
So who was this person sitting opposite me? What did they want? I didn’t ask. We never had that kind of relationship. We watched movies and did minor repairs to the house. Went for a drive to nowhere in particular.
Just ticked by as we used to.
Whoever the imposter was, they had done their research. They knew things they couldn’t possibly know about my Dad.
Maybe it was him? Did it even matter?
“How did you know it wasn't him?”
He apologised.
